The malamang tradition is a culture that developed in the Minangkabau area, especially in the Padang Pariaman area. This tradition was first introduced by Sheikh Burhanuddin when spreading the teachings of Islam. Until now, the malamang tradition is still very thick in the Pariaman area, especially when celebrating the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Malamang is an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Padang Pariaman Regency and has become Indonesia’s Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021
