Parang Sintuk Museum Tourism Village

Sintuk Tourism Village is located in Sintuk Toboh Gadang District. Padang Pariaman Regency. In accordance with RIPPDA Padang Pariaman in 2022, Sintuk Tourism Village is included in the EnamLingkung and Surrounding KSPD Areas with the development of Historical Tourism. In 1942 to 1945, Sintuk Village became the military center base of the Japanese army, this was marked by the existence of a Japanese army airfield at Sintuk Shrimp Hall. In Sintuk Tourism Village, there are also many historical relics from the colonial era, namely Ambacang I and II Japanese Holes, Simpang Tigo Japanese Holes, Toboh Baru Sintuk II Japanese Holes, Freedom Fighter Tombs and Renville Boundary Monument. Through the Education Office of Padang Pariaman Regency, the Padang Pariaman Regency Government has designated it as a Cultural Heritage Property of Padang Pariaman Regency. One of the DTW (Tourism Attraction) in Sintuk Tourism Village is the Sintuk War Museum which was established in 2021 independently by the community and also received assistance from the Regional Indonesian Museum Association (AMIDA), the West Sumatra Provincial Cultural Office and the Adyatawarman Museum of approximately Rp.200,000,000,-, Veteran Fighters and the Padang Pariaman Regional GovernmentThe building that was used as a Museum was granted by the owner (Land and Building) to the Sintuk community to be used as a Museum. The building was built in 1945 and served as a Warrior Observation Post in 1948 This museum was founded because of a historical event that is much forgotten. namely the Sintuk War that took place in Nagari Sintuk Sintuk Toboh Gadang District on Tuesday on June 7, 1949, which was a historical tragic event where there was a mass murder of freedom fighters by the Dutch colonial party. Driven by a young man named Rio Tampati Putra who is very concerned about history in Nagari Sintuk who does have a hobby of collecting historical items and assisted by the Sintuk Community tries to collect historical evidence from old people and private collections donated to the Museum to be used as a lesson for the younger generation to appreciate the services of Sintuk heroes, especially Indonesia. Currently, the museum collection has collected approximately 300 pieces such as; war equipment, old money, photos of Dutch soldiers, old hygiene products. Currently, the museum has received visits from school children who want to know the history of the Sintuk war that has occurred. Not only managing historical items, but Sintuk Tourism Village also has an Art Studio called Sanggar Sintuk War Museum. They made a Short Film/Video about the Sintuk war, preserving cultures such as Indang, Ulu Ambek and a Drama performance which was shown at Taman Mini Indoensia Indah during the Padang Pariaman Cultural Art Pargelera event attended by the Ambassadors. The management of the Sintuk Museum under the People’s Struggle Foundation which already has a Notarial Deed and Legalization of Legal Entity Establishment from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and a Sintuk War Museum Establishment Permit issued by DPMPTP Padang Pariaman Regency. Currently, this folk museum has joined the Regional Indonesian Museum Association and is in the process of applying for status as a Cultural Heritage Object and becoming the only Community-Owned Juang Museum in Indonesia Besides Sintuk Museum, Sintuk Tourism Village also has a unique artificial tourist attraction, namely “Talaok Baruak Market“. Baruak or Beruk known by its Latin name Macaca Nemestrin is usually empowered to help the community in picking coconuts. Talaok Baruak Market is a community of ape lovers which is accommodated by Nagari Sintuk as a form of association to establish friendship between macaque lovers, in addition to associations as well as a place to buy and sell macaques for the community. And there is also training for macaque children before being marketed.
