Nagari Guguak is located in District 2×11 Kayutanam, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra Province. Area of Nagari: 56.00 square kilometers. Nagari Guguak is located at an altitude of 200-400 meters above sea level (masl) with a tropical climate with a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. Entering 2019, the people of Nagari Guguak began to develop existing tourism potentials. At the beginning of the community development was started by local youths and several community leaders. The youth in several Jorong in Nagari began to form a Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) to develop tourism potential, especially the Hiking Trail to Mount Tandikek which is 2438 meters above sea level, and now the group is called “POKDARWIS KANDANG AMPEK BERSATU MAJU”
